ROSEMARY RICHARDS (née Batten)
RICHARDS ROSEMARY (née Batten). ‘Roses’ passed away peacefully at home in Grayshott, Hampshire on 28th June 2020, aged 92 years. Loving wife of the late Roy Richards and beloved mother of Peter and Lynette and devoted grandmother to Lorna and Paul. Rosemary lived all her life in Exmouth until retirement when she moved to Grayshott with Roy and her mother May to be with her daughter, son-in-law and baby granddaughter. Rosemary was a hard working girl during her adult life in Exmouth. She ran a greengrocery and floristry retail business in the 1960’s (‘Mimosa’) during which time she was a keen flower and vegetable grower. In the 1970’s she was a guest house proprietor and an orchard farm shop manager. When she wasn’t working, her life revolved around four generations of her extended family. She will be remembered by her family and friends as the kindest and most generous and caring person. ‘Roses’ you will be forever in our hearts. Her funeral service will take place on Monday 20th July at 1.00pm at St Margaret & St Andrews Church, Littleham. We are sorry that due to Covid19 restrictions only family and close friends are permitted in the church. Any enquiries or kind donations in Rosemary’s memory for Macmillan Cancer Support may be sent c/o Crews & Son, Crews House, Tower Street, Exmouth EX8 1NT.
