DAVID SCOTT (Scottie)
SCOTT DAVID. ‘Scottie’ passed away on 19th May 2020 at RD&E Hospital, aged 89, after a short illness. Husband of the Late Margaret, father of Paul and beloved Brother to Mazie and Helen. Arriving in Exmouth in 1963, he has lived and breathed Exmouth ever since, through his work at Hayne & Scott, T&S Removals, and latterly at World of Country Life. A local Councillor for 25 years, Town Committee and EDDC Housing Chairman, and Honorary Alderman. He was a Round Tabler, Rotarian, Past Rotarian, a Committee Member at the RAFA Club, involved with Exmouth Town FC, Carnival Committee…..the list goes on! He had a full life!! – never a dull moment! A Private Funeral Service will take place at Exeter Crematorium on Friday 12th June. The family are devastated that due to the Covid 19 Guidelines, the Service is limited, and we cannot give him the send off he deserves, and Celebrate his life at this time – something we will do in the future. Anyone wishing to pay their final respects, the funeral cortege will leave Exmouth on the following Route: Devoncourt Hotel 15.35 Maer Road, the seafront and Ocean 15.45 Dray Court 15.50 High St & Council Offices 15.55 RAFA Club 16.00 The Parade and Exeter Road, past the Saddlers Arms around 16.10 and onward to the Crematorium via Topsham. (All times are approximate) Family flowers only. Any kind donations will go to the RAF Benevolent Association, and can be sent to Richard Gegg & Sons, Funeral Directors, 47 Rolle Street, Exmouth EX8 2RS.
