PHOTO VENTURA. Peacefully on February 27th, Alfred aged 96 years. Beloved husband of the Late Margaret. A dearly loved dad and grampa who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service Exeter & Devon Crematorium Wednesday March 27th at 12.00 Noon. (St. Pauls Chapel). Family flowers only, donations in his memory for The Devon Air ambulance Trust and the RNIB may be sent to Richard W. Gegg & Sons, Funeral Directors, 47, Rolle Street, Exmouth, EX8 2RS. “For most people who know me I can be seen walking along the promenade and through Manor Gardens quite frequently and I would like to thank everyone for their help shown to me at various times and particularly on the buses getting on and off. I thank you all very much indeed and I am truly very grateful for the help shown me in various ways, but it is now time for me to say goodbye. I would like to say for the benefit of most people I am 96 and this walking has probably kept me alive, maybe longer than I should. My best wishes to everyone with love and many thanks to all the people of Exmouth without whom I would have found life a lot more difficult”. The Service will be a celebration of a very long life lived well, as such formal clothing is not necessary.
