A national charity teaching adults in the UK to read, is looking for volunteers to head up a new centre in Exmouth.
The team are looking for volunteers in the Exmouth area to work with adults once or twice a week for about an hour. The techniques they use include the Turning Pages phonic-based reading programme however no specific experience is needed as full training is provided.
Readers are matched with coaches to enable good and rewarding learning progress and interaction. Coaching is free, confidential, 1:1 and takes place in a suitable and mutually convenient location or online.
If you can spare time regularly each week and are wanting to help and encourage someone to learn to read so they can enhance their job and life prospects, we are keen to hear from you.
