Exmouth Youth Theatre's next production due to take place in the summer will be School of Rock - The Musical.
Exmouth Youth Theatre, with a cast of more than 40 local young performers will take to the stage at Exmouth Pavillion from Monday June 20 to Saturday June 24 at 7.30pm with a matinee performance on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm.
The Musical will be based on the hit movie from 2003 starring Jack Black and the hit West End & Broadway production, with a new score from Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The stage musical on Broadway and in the West End was produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who composed 14 new songs for the show.
The show will feature all of the original classic songs from the movie. The composer’s new numbers You’re in the Band, Stick it to the Man and the finale Teacher’s Pet.
School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A-students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out.
