If you love a bit of drama then get set to enjoy the theatre shows at this year’s Exmouth Festival. In Manor Gardens there are three family-friendly plays, one at 11 am each day.
On Saturday 29th July, Brave Bold Drama presents The Munch Mission, an interactive show where agents are trying to crack the case of the missing artwork, but they need your help to chase leads, decipher clues and interrogate suspects.
On Sunday 30th SignDance Collective perform their accessible shows 'Oriente Plus ', a Caribbean story about poetry, music and culture, and Power Cut, a story of ocean crossings, haunted bodies and dancing souls. It’s vivacious, wickedly playful street theatre told through movement, music and BSL.
Monday 31st sees renowned local theatre company Jack Dean & Co take to the stage with six multi-instrumentalists to tell an epic seaside tale through songs encompassing folk, indie, sea shanties and choral music. It’s a story of bad rulers, worse weather, and how we keep going when everything is flipping terrible.
On Monday evening there’s also an outdoor screening of Jurassic Park at Exmouth Rugby club, with dinosaur dress-up and egg hunts, plus local short films. This is a ticketed event.
There is also a Silent Disco in Manor Gardens on Friday 28th July between 7 and 10 pm. It’s great fun for all ages; you get headphones with three different coloured channels of music to swap between.
As well as being great for groups of mates, it also works well for people who don’t like loud environments, as you can choose the volume, or take your headphones off when you need a break.
It’s a fundraiser for the festival, with all proceeds going in to helping cover the costs of the festival, and you can get tickets here https://buytickets.at/exmouthfestival2023/923341
