Exmouth Hospital will host the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s community nursing roadshow on Saturday, August 12.
The Trust, whose workforce of 15,000 staff covers more than 2,000 square miles of Devon, has invited student nurses, registered nurses and return-to-practice nurses to attend the roadshow.
Those who attend the event, which will last from 9am until 12pm, will have the opportunity to take a tour of the hospital, talk to members of the community nursing team, learn about equipment kit bags used, discover the different role options available and even have an interview.
Jane Cawthorn-Weaver, a Clinical Matron in the community team at the Royal Devon, said: “It’s a real privilege to care for patients in their homes and help them stay fit and healthy.
“There are lots of development opportunities for both clinical and management skills, including the specialist practice qualification.
"Community nursing is an extremely rewarding career, which allows individuals to make a significant difference by treating a diverse range of conditions and patient groups."
Locations across Devon are now hiring full and part-time staff, and nurses who would like flexible hours are encouraged to apply.
Roles available include community inpatient, community nurse, urgent community response, and out-of-hours.
Another roadshow will be held on Saturday, September 9, at Honiton Hospital.
