Author and Comedian David Baddiel will be visiting Exmouth Community College to talk about his new book on September 22.

The highly acclaimed comedian, novelist, television presenter and author will give a talk to students about his new book 'Only Children' three laugh-out-loud stories.

The book is a Sunday Times Bestseller for Children 2023 and features three heart warning, funny adventure-filled stories. Meet Alfie, the boy who could do what he liked, Chrissie, the girl who had never been on a train, and Ariel the child who had never been on holiday. 

David's debut was The Parent Agency and, since then his books have won the highest accolades including the inaugural Laugh Out Loud Award. After the talk, there will be a chance to buy a copy signed by David. Books cost £8.00.

David is in East Devon because he's scheduled to also talk at this year's 2023 Budleigh Saltrton Literary Festival on September 21. In his talk entitled The God Desire,  he’ll talk about faith, spiritualism, and the search for a deeper meaning with Professor Sajjad Rizvi, Professor of Islamic Intellectual History and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter.
