Children from Brixington Primary Academy's choir have been spreading festive joy.

On December 1, they performed Christmas carols at three local residential homes, concluding at the annual Christmas lights switch-on at Raleigh Manor.

The choir members enjoyed learning a mixture of classic carols and popular hits by Paul McCartney and Slade.

Head of School, Mr Dyer said: "They are such a positive reflection of the type of joyful, community school that we are.

"When I asked them if they wanted to perform at one of our local care homes they all asked 'Why only one?!'"

Exmouth Journal:

Their day ended with a performance at the school's Christmas Fayre, backed by pupils, parents and staff.

The funds raised from the Christmas Fayre will develop school's outdoor learning areas and support a child in Uganda via the Edukid charity.

The festive singing schedule is far from over, with performances lined up at Brixington Church and St John's Church in the coming weeks.

Brixington Primary Academy is still accepting applications for Early Years spaces and school places on their website.
