A water leak on the road and a hard frost overnight has meant residents in Exmouth have woken up to see their roads turned into 'ice rinks'.
A water leak in the road at Rhyll Grove and the junction of Boarden Barn where Gussiford Lane, Bicton Steet, Fore Steet and Montpellier Road means the road is very icy.
South West Water are aware of the leak and are planning to repair it "as soon as possible".
Residents compared the two roads to an 'ice rink' this morning.
Last night, temperatures dropped to -5 in East Devon, meaning many woke up this morning to a hard frost.
A water leak higher up the road at Rhyll Grove, means water has travelled down the hill and then frozen over, meaning the road became very treacherous.
Thanks to Caroline Butty and Aimee Luxton for letting the Journal use the pictures of Rhyll Gorve and Boarden Farm.
South West Water said: “We are aware of the leak on Ryll Grove and the escaped water freezing due to the cold weather.
"We are planning to repair the leak as soon as possible.
"If our teams are unable to carry out the repair this evening, we will still ensure that the route and surrounding area are gritted for safety. We want to thank residents for their understanding.
