Budleigh Lions Club has presented a cheque for £1,172 to Exmouth RNLI.
The money was collected during the annual Christmas Day swim at Budleigh beach, where RNLI volunteers were on hand to make sure everyone was kept safe.
Members of Exmouth RNLI came to the Lions' January meeting to receive the cheque: Des White, chair of fundraising, Rob Anderson, vice chair of fundraising, Alison White from the fundraising team and Chris Simms, a crew member.
Des White said to the Lions: "Many thanks for everything you’ve done for us again this year; we really do appreciate it."
Richard Allen, president of the Budleigh Salterton Lions Club, said: "I would like to say a special thank you to the Exmouth RNLI for coming over to Budleigh on Christmas morning to ensure all the swimmers got out safely.
"I'm sure we all have massive admiration for the bravery and dedication of the RNLI staff and volunteers who risk their lives to save others. We look forward to collecting again on behalf of the RNLI next Christmas."
