Budleigh Salterton's Gala Week begins on Saturday, May 25, and the first event of the week is the Big Breakfast in aid of Cancer Research UK in the Public Hall.
It will take place from 9am until 11.30am, and the organisers expect to see people queuing outside from about 8.30am.
Jennie Stogdon, chairman of the CRUK committee, will be cooking with Sarah (soups chef), along with a team of enthusiastic servers/clearers and washers up.
The first full English Breakfast will be available at 9am – that includes fruit juice, cereal and toast; fruit, tea or coffee – followed by egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, fried bread, mushrooms and tomatoes. Last orders will be at 11.30 am. Those wanting a lighter breakfast can opt for a Danish pastry accompanied by tea or coffee.
Tickets will be on sale at the door - £10.00 for the full breakfast – children under 10 years half price, or £5 for a continental breakfast.
There will be live music, a cake stall and a raffle.
Secretary Sue Hunt said: “We are confident that our Budleigh residents will be there on the morning queuing with holidaymakers and their families.
"Thank you to all those who financially sponsored this event and of course our team of stalwart volunteers without out whom this bumper breakfast in aid of Cancer Research UK would not be available."
