An inquest has been opened on Wednesday (May 29) into the deaths of an elderly retired family doctor and his wife at their home in Devon.
John Foulston, 89, and his 85 year old wife Annabel were found dead at their home in Victoria Road, Topsham, by neighbours who they had alerted, a coroner was told.
The couple were found deceased in their living room on February 13th but the cause of their deaths has not been ascertained.
Assistant coroner Stephen Covell said:"John and his wife had requested their neighboujrs to attend their property. Upon their arrival, both John and his wife were found deceased in the living room."
The hearing was told John was a retired GP who friends described as a 'kind and generous man' and his retired podiatrist wife 'an inspiration'.
They were believed to be involved in their local Topsham Estuary Players group.
