A reunion of former Exmouth Community College students who finished in the year 1980 took place last Friday (May 24).
Organisers were: Ricky, Jeff, Pete, Brian and Kate, 72 people attended the reunion, with two travelling from Australia and one from Cambodia and many from other parts of the UK.
Another is planned for maybe 2029, when all attendees are 65. Profit on ticket sales, of nearly £250 is being donated to the RNLI in their 200th year.
The 'Class of 1980' reunion took place at The Railway Club at 7.30pm. Old school friends caught up over a buffet supper and a welcome speech, followed by a group photo and then a disco playing 80s music.
The Class of 1980, all of whom have their 60th birthdays this year, organised a reunion 10 years ago, and organisers say it was 'lovely to see everyone from school once again.'
