The ukulele group Strings and Things has presented a cheque for £55 to the Budleigh Salterton Lions Club.
The money was raised from the ukulele group's gala night which took place at the Dog and Donkey in Knowle village on May 18.
The presentation was made by Roy Hookings, who handed the cheque to Alex McDiamid, president of the Budleigh Salterton Lions Club.
The members of Strings and Things meet at the Knowle Public Village Hall every Tuesday between 4pm and 6pm and new members are always extremely welcome; all the group asks for is a £1 donation per person towards the cost of hall hire. Other stringed instruments than ukuleles are also welcome, or people can just come along to sing.
