A Classic Car and Motorbike Show organised by Exmouth Rotary on Saturday, July 6 has raised £3,000 for Hospiscare.
More than 100 vehicles assembled on the Imperial Recreation Field, ranging from modern classics to ancient museum pieces, each of them obviously their owner’s pride and joy. Vintage tractors and motorbikes were also present alongside the famous old Green Goddess.
In addition to the vehicles, the show featured family attractions including a bouncy castle, balloons for kids, a friendly goat from the World of Country Life, and a football game, where budding England players could show their skills. Entry was free; the £3,000 was raised through generous donations from the exhibitors and the visiting public.
Exmouth Rotary said the feedback from visitors was so positive that the show may become an annual Rotary summer event.
