Moreys Convenience Store in Exmouth has new owners.
The shop in Exeter Road was put up for sale at the end of last year and has now been purchased by Robin Nagpal and Ritesh Rai, who say they have exciting plans for the business.
They said: “It’s a great pleasure to become the new owners of such a fine and well-established convenience store. The Moreys name is well known in the area, and we are very much looking forward to taking the store to the next level, which will enable us to continue serving the community and bring a larger offering with lots of new lines to choose from.”
Moreys has been owned and operated for the last 20 years by Gareth Curl and Mark Gibbings, who have both worked in the business for nearly 40 years. They sold the business after deciding to retire.
They said: “We would like to thank the local community and all our loyal customers for their support over the years. We have really felt like a massive part of the community and have thoroughly enjoyed providing the well-needed services that Moreys has provided for all.
“We are excited to see what the new owners Robin and Ritesh bring to the area. They have some fantastic ideas to take Moreys into the future, which we are sure all our customers will greatly appreciate.”
The sale of the property was handled by Matthew McFarlane from specialist business property advisers Christie & Co. He said: “This is a fabulous store in a busy corner location in Exmouth, and is an established name within the local community. The store offers a great opportunity to continue the existing business, with space to for the new owners to expand and increase the overall offering to continue to serving its customers into the future.”
