Police say a child has been injured - but not seriously - in an accident on the A3052 this afternoon (Monday, July 29).
The single-vehicle accident near Aylesbeare was reported to police at about 3.25pm.
The road was closed in both directions between the Hidden Oak Equine and Country Cafe and Nine Oaks junction, causing long delays.
At 5.30pm a police spokesperson said a young girl had been hurt during the accident, but 'thankfully her injuries are not considered serious'.
Shortly afterwards police said the traffic delays had cleared and the road was open again in both directions.
No details have been given about the driver of the vehicle at this stage.
