The Devon Cat Centre is seeking new homes for three of its residents who have been waiting some time for adoption.
The Cats Protection centre at Clyst Honiton, off the Exeter to Sidmouth road, was formerly known as Axhayes. It cares for and rehomes cats all over Devon.
Simba is a nine-year-old male black cat who staff say 'has a lovely nature'.
They said: "This gentle giant enjoys lots of fuss and will happily sit on your lap. Simba would like to be the only pet in the household as sharing with other animals is not his thing. Simba needs a lot of outdoor space as he enjoys hunting and has been known to bring home large presents. Could he be the lovely, fluffy companion you've been looking for?"
Monty is a 14-year-old male tabby and white cat whose owner sadly passed away. Staff don't have much information about his likes and dislikes, but they said: "While he’s been in our care, he’s been very friendly and affectionate. He loves to snuggle up to you for chin tickles and head strokes. Being very fluffy he will need regularly grooming which he does enjoy. Monty is a lovely boy who will make a wonderful companion for somebody."
Ella is just one year old and needs a calm, quiet home where she can have space and time to settle. Staff said: "We don't have any history about Ella, but while she has been here, she has grown in confidence and we are sure that in the right environment, with the right people, she will become a brilliant pet. She loves to play with her toys and is really clever, she can use all the different puzzle feeders. Because of her gentle, delicate nature we are looking for an adult only home and any other pets would need to have lived with a cat before."
Full profiles of all the cats can be viewed on the Devon Cat Centre website, where applications to adopt can also be made.
All the cats available for adoption are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, health checked by a vet, and come with four weeks' free Petplan insurance.
