The driver of a car who died in a double fatal crash on Haldon Hill has been named as an 18-year-old from Teignmouth after an inquest into his death was opened.
Oliver Weston and 16-year-old passenger Hanna Green died in the accident on an unclassified road near the Exeter Racecourse in which a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were also injured.
Weston, aged 18, of Dunning Walk, Teignmouth, was the driver of a silver Peugeot 107 car which left the road and crashed into a tree around 01.20am on August 8.
Senior Devon coroner Philip Spinney has opened and adjourned an inquest into the death of Oliver Weston who died at the scene. The cause of his death has not yet been established, the hearing was told.

Oliver’s funeral is to take place on August 31 at the Exeter Crematorium after the cortege is accompanied from Teignmouth by a motorcycle escort.
A message left on a tribute website reads ‘A shining light on earth, a bright star in heaven’.
Police say that specialist officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Team are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
They are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage which may help with enquiries.
