A retirement community is hosting a Taste the Lifestyle event.
The event, organised by McCarthy Stone, will be held at The Curlews, its new retirement living plus development on Merchant Avenue, Exmouth, on August 21 between 12pm and 3pm.
During the event, attendees will be able to sample dishes prepared by the on-site bistro chefs while listening to live music performed by Marcus Boll.
There will also be tours of the community's show apartments and communal areas, including the lounge, wellness suite, and landscaped gardens.
Attendees can also ask the McCarthy Stone team questions about the retirement living plus developments and the offer of £5,000 off the list price on selected properties reserved before August 30.
Verity McKay, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for local retirees to experience for themselves what life at a McCarthy Stone development is like.
"They’ll be able to sample delicious cuisine prepared on-site by our experienced chefs, browse our exceptional facilities, and take a closer look at our show suite, so they can easily picture themselves here come October when The Curlews will officially open.
"We really recommend that visitors also ask about our exclusive offer that is available until the end of the month."
The Curlews will offer 59 one and two-bedroom retirement apartments for the over 70s.
The apartments will have access to communal spaces, including the lounge, wellness suite, bistro, and gardens.
An estate management team will be on-site around the clock to provide tailored domestic support and personal care to suit individual needs.
Each property will also be fitted with a 24/7 emergency call system, door camera entry, and an intruder alarm.
There are a range of purchase options available at The Curlews, including the shared ownership scheme in partnership with Homes England.
This allows retirees to pay just 50 per cent of the property value of an apartment at the development, and monthly rent payable on the remaining 50 per cent.
