An Exmouth-based jazz quartet is all set to play a free “up-close” concert in September.

The Paul Strange Organisation (PSO) is appearing at the Exmouth Pavilion Café and Bar on the Esplanade on Sunday September 22, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

The instrumental quartet will be playing Blue Note jazz classics by the likes of Miles Davis, Kenny Burrell and Wes Montgomery, plus Hammond groove hits, such as Booker T and the MGs’ “Green Onions”, and some originals.

“Exmouth doesn’t have much live jazz, so if you’re looking to hear something a bit different on a Sunday afternoon, try our free concert in the Pavilion Café and Bar,” says PSO keyboardist Paul Strange. “We’re performing in an up-close setting, so prepare to chill out with some cool music.”

As well as Paul Strange (Hammond organ and piano), PSO features Marcus Burton (guitar), Tim Pilling (bass) and Richard Glazebrook (drums).
