A new children's soft play area has opened at the former Methodist Church in Tower Street.
Kids Cove's first day of opening was on Monday (September 2) and has a large space with lots of different areas for kids to play in. Little Tike cars, sensory pods, soft play and soon a Nerf battle area.
There is even something for the adults, a cafe selling refreshments with plenty of seating. For children aged 1 to 5, Train Play Devon will be holding a pre-school event on Tuesday September 17.
From 10am to 2:45pm, there is train tracks and battery-operated trains, cars, dinosaurs, a ride on train and mini roller coaster. A spokesman said: "This is a great space for your kids to play with while you relax…or you can join in too.
Hourly sessions are available to book now via the Train Play Devon website.
In 2022, planning permission was granted to convert the former Girls and Boy's Brigade building at the rear of the church into homes and shops. These are currently being renovated and are on sale now. This however does not affect the main church building where Kids Cove is now based.
In 2019, the Methodist Church was disused and turned into a gym.
