On a very warm sunny day last week, after shopping in Iceland, I waited for the bus home. There were no seating spaces vacant in the bus shelter so I sat on the concrete wall (which holds the handrail, and steps leading to the upper pavement) but after a few minutes I suffered a black-out.
When I began to come round I realised I was being lifted into an ambulance to be taken to hospital in Exeter.
I would like to thank the kind people who called the ambulance and collected up my shopping and belongings. Also thank you to the ambulance crew and hospital staff for their caring attention and support.
