Exmouth Rowing Club has been crowned the Coastal Rowing League champions for 2024.
The club won the prestigious Jill Manning-Cox trophy at the season finale in Torquay on Saturday, September 28.
Despite the Coastal Barbarians winning the regatta trophy at Torquay, Exmouth's crews consistently scored more first, second, and third places across the 23 racing categories.
This included the men's and women's quads, open and mixed doubles, and open singles.
Mr Smith, one of Exmouth's multiple winners, praised the club captain, Jon Houghton, for his dedicated efforts.
He said: "Jona has worked tirelessly to encourage novices in our monthly induction sessions, all age and ability groups in our winter ergo training, in promoting our increasing competitiveness in small boats and, not least, in towing our club trailer all over the South West.
"We look forward to 2025 with renewed optimism and the added impetus of some very promising junior rowers."
