Exmouthian Joseph Oates has fufilled his dream of becoming a doctor, as he graduates from Exeter University.
Joseph was born in Exmouth and lives on Green Close, he went to St. Joseph Primary and then on to Exmouth Community College.
He graduated this year, as a qualified doctor, working at the Royal Devon University Hospital at Wonford.

The keen rugby player, surfer and musician has wanted to become a doctor since he was 14.
Before he started and travelled to work in Australia, he massed funds to fund the rest of his gap year on a tour of South East Asia.
He went motorcycle tour of Vietnam with school friend Joel Ranft.
He studied for a five-year degree course to earn a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) at Exeter University Medical School.
Three years at St Lukes Campus, Exeter Uni and 2 years at the Knowledge Spa at the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (Truro).
Also a keen rugby player. he continued playing rugby throughout with Exeter Uni and two with the Cambourne School of Mines, the latter he captained.
He has now started a two-year postgraduate training program that takes place after medical school here at The Royal Devon University Hospital, Wonford.
He is currently working on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) which specialises in the initial assessment and management of acutely ill patients.
