As the outdoor season draws to a close at Bowls Clubs across the country, the players at Phear Park have enjoyed some final matches and an invitational fixture.
The Peter Nelson Shield was won this year by Joan Cowing, Jenny Derbyshire and Roger Peddle, who were presented with their trophy by Liz Nelson.
Captains Day was won by three of the newer members of the club, which again demonstrates the healthy support for bowls in the region and the fact players can come into a new environment and thrive.
Heather Slater, Keith Bister and Bob Pemberton were presented with the award by Margo Allen and the Holly Tree Cup was won by a very happy foursome.
Phear Park did have an extra week and took the opportunity to play a short internal competition, which was won by Sarah Westacott, presented by John Robins.
