After the two opening fixtures of the Exmouth Snooker League, Police Social Club D are the early leaders in the table, 5-0 winners over the Police B in week one, Iain Callander 48(31)-6, Kevin Proctor 57-41 and Dave Lance 52-11 overtook the lead of Bert Savage 45-33 and Harry Savage 56-45 on the East Budleigh A table.
East Budleigh B won their second match at the Police C, with David Freer 49-39 and Mervyn Long 72-63 having to wait for Duane Greenslade to secure the third match winning point 53-39. John Parrott 77-61 and Terry Brown 65-38 taking the match to a decider.
Defending champions, Police A, overcame their loss to East Budleigh B by beating the Police B by 3 frames to 2 through Mick Jordan 70-55, Carl Rowsell 76-62 and Rob Pow 63-52. Dave Thomas 79-66 and Phil Rowsell 85-50 secured the B team’s first point of the new season.
