East Budleigh ‘B’ are romping away with Exmouth Snooker League following two maximum points wins. Stuart Laws 58-46, David Freer 72-26, Jamie Gullifird 73-21, Shaun New 55-30 and Duane Greenslade 61-44 triumphed over their closest rivals, Police Social Club ‘D’. Next, the same quintet were 5-0 winners on the Police ‘B’ table.
Police ‘C’ share second place with their ‘D’ team, despite losing to the Police ‘A’, as Paul Keates 64-23 and John Parrott 75-55 reduced the loss to a single point. Mike Delahaye 71-62, Carl Rowsell 76-64 and Pete Abrahams 53-44 recorded the defending champions’ 7th match win to date.
But, their latest result ended in a reverse scoreline. George Webster 60-57 and Rob Pow 55-46 drew level with East Budleigh’A’s Steve Vittles 77-44 and Harry Savage’s maiden victory 68-55, before Mark Auton won the decider 78-56.
East Budleigh ‘A’ swap places with the Police ‘B’ at the foot of the table despite losing to them 3-2. Steve Vittles 61-40 and Barry Bentley 51-22 won the first and final frames. In between, Bob Horton 73-64, Dave Thomas 74(32)-17 and David Binmore 96-65 sealed their 6th match victory thus far.
