East Budleigh were back to winning ways last Saturday with a huge performance, winning 2-0 at Chard.
The whole team deserve credit in gaining the three points for the Jays, who started well with the Hill twins, Brad and Toby, causing the home side problems on the wings.
The opening goal saw Brad take on a couple of players before finding Liam West who finished well from the edge of the box. Budleigh doubled their lead when Man of the Match Adam Wilkinson took advantage of a mistake by the host ‘keeper and finished well.
After the break, the intensity continued and it was Toby Hill who went closest to a third striking the post, whilst at the other end, the Budleigh defence stood firm.
Team: Drew Shorrock, Darren Everest, Joe Day, Sam Balbi, Guy Laverock, Hugo Demetre, Adam Wilkinson, Liam West. Brad Hill, Toby Hill, Jack Howarth. Subs- Will Price, Matt Jones, James Bridge.
East Budleigh Reserves went down to a 4-1 defeat at home to Cullompton. After conceding a poor opener, the Jays responded with well-struck corner by Ross Bright headed in by Lewis Fletcher. Five minutes into the second half, the away side regained the lead and Budleigh never really recovered.
