Exmouth RFC U16s confirmed their place in the Fisherman’s Cup Shield Final with a hard fought 36-15 win at Cullompton.
The win cements their place as league winners following victories over Torquay, Paignton, Devonport Services & Bideford. Their only loss was to Topsham by one point.
The final is to be played at Brixham RFC on Sunday, April 23. The other Finalist to be confirmed.
The focus over the next few weeks will be slightly further afield with 12 players making it into Exeter Chiefs & DPP East (Developing Player Programme) squads for matches against Bristol & Bath. Well done to all for their hard work getting this recognition.
Congratulations to Ollie Batson, Ned Brown and Freddie Barrow for making it into the U16s Chiefs Academy, alongside Ollie Bennett, Charlie Freemantle, Rocca Hurley, George Bungard, Ryan Cotton, Jason Robertson, Ruban Chisling, Charlie Tate and Evan Keys-Smith making it in to the DPP East Squad.
March also brings a first for the boys with their first overseas match when they head off to Holland for a four-day rugby tour at the end of the month. Many thanks to all the kind sponsors, donors and volunteers for their hard work in making the tour happen.
