Two Exmouth Harriers travelled 200 miles north to take part in the Adidas Manchester Marathon along with over 18,500 other runners on Sunday.
After months of winter training and preparation, Hayley Johns and Ali Willox finished in superb times of 4.10.43 and 4.26.49 respectively. Out of over 5,000 Ladies in the race, Hayley was 1,759th and Ali was 2,476th.
The focus now switches to the TCS London Marathon with twelve Harriers running the 26.2 miles through the streets of London from Greenwich to The Mall on Sunday.
Best wishes to May Argyle-Lander, Hannah Bown, Kay Douglas, Rob Ellis, Alice Kelly, James Kelly, Sam Kelly, Adam Miller, Claire Sorensen, Kelly Thomas, Adrian Vanstone and Oli White.
It will be the 43rd running of the annual London Marathon and the first time since 2019 that the event will be run in the Spring, as the previous three races were run in Autumn due to the pandemic.
