Phear Park Bowls Club recently hosted the Annual Carder Cup, which is a local event for members of the Holly Tree Public House to enjoy a game of bowls.
The traditional event has been running for many years and a lovely way to bring the curtain down on what has been a successful, if a little soggy, summer of bowls.
The winners, from the lounge bar, were David Reed, Nick Seymour, Kevin Cornall and Debbie Reid, supported by John Horne, who was the coach on the day.
Bowls really is a game for all and visitors to Phear Park can also access the use of a wheelchair purpose-made for use on bowling greens. Financial assistance was provided by Exmouth Town Council and the Disabled Bowlers’ Association. If you ever fancy a game of bowls, put the Phear Park team on your list of options.
