The year of 2023 saw BMX star Lottie Brown travel to many different locations across the UK and Europe, and attending the European Cup series was one of the main aims for Lottie this season.

The season started off by going to Verona in Italy, then Zolder in Belgium, Valmiera in Latvia and Anadia in Portugal. At every round, Lottie was competing with the best in Europe and made the finals at every round she attended, even coming first in Portugal.

In July, she travelled to Besancon in France for the European Championships. Lottie battled hard, pushing herself to her limits and made it to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, due to slipping her pedal, this was where her day ended, to say she was disappointed was an understatement.

Throughout the season, Lottie also attended the British Cycling National series across the UK. There was a total of 10 rounds with the best 8 counting towards the end result. Lottie won every round she attended, making her National Number 1 with two rounds to go. Even though she had secured the National Number 1 title after eight rounds, she still wanted to race the last two rounds, which shows her dedication.

The World Championships were at the beginning of August in Glasgow. Lottie was competing against the top girls from across the world, which would be a challenge for Lottie. Again, she rode her heart out, making it to the semi-finals, which was a massive achievement for her.

The British Championship were held at the end of August in Derby where Lottie gained the title of British Number 1, another title to add to her many already received!

Lottie has had an amazing season and done herself proud. Now time for a little break and rest before the winter season hits, where Lottie can prepare herself for next season, which will see her progress to clips.

Lottie is hoping to attend as many European Cup rounds next year but unfortunately this comes at a cost. Lottie will have a practice/training shirt made, in the hope of gaining some sponsorship. If anyone is interested in sponsoring Lottie or would like more information about having their company logos on her shirt, please get in touch @lottiebrownbmx or kjbrown34@icloud.com.
