East Budleigh booked their place in the next round of the East Devon Senior Cup with a superb 7-2 victory over St Martins, writes Mark Auton.
Budleigh shaded the first period, taking a 2-1 lead, Rian Hill and Jack Greenslade on target. Budleigh came out firing in the second half and put the seal on the tie with three goals in eight minutes; Player of the match Louis Adey struck twice and Greenslade added his second as well.
Hill and Jack Howarth added six and seven, whilst the away side grabbed another consolation to complete the scoring in a game that was brought to an end on 80 minutes due to the dangerous conditions.
East Budleigh Reserves had to settle for a share of the spoils at Halwill last Saturday, battling with ten men in the latter stages, they were thankful to keeper and Player of the Match Reggie Kew.
