The trip to Plymouth last Saturday ended with little return for Exmouth Rugby, going down 17-33 to Devonport Services.
The Cockles did score two super tries from Matty Ryan and the returning Lewis Geran, with Gareth Roebuck kicking two conversions and one penalty. Despite a resurgence during the second half, Exmouth could not make everything work for them.
Jake Inglis and James Clarke looked tricky with ball in hand, however it was the power of the home side driving maul, with close to try line weight that undid the defence in poor conditions. The travelling support endured heavyweight tries.
The hosts were better on the day, Exmouth will look to bounce back with a home game next weekend.
