Goals galore at East Budleigh to start the new year with the Jays eventually coming out on top in a 12-goal thriller against Ottery St Mary, writes Mark Auton.
Both Jack Greenslade and Man of the Match Rian Hill hit trebles on what was a crazy afternoon.
Brad Hill opened the scoring with a low strike but, within ten minutes, the visitors had been gifted a couple of goals before Greenslade produced an excellent finish to make it 2-2 at the break.
After the restart, the teams shared four more; Toby Hill set up brother Rian and Greenslade was on target with a free-kick make it 4-4.
Budleigh managed to take control with Rian Hill scoring twice more to complete his hat-trick, but almost immediately the visitors gave themselves hope at 6-5. It was left to Greenslade to seal the win with a late seventh and we could all go home for a lie down.
