Lympstone U16s started the new year by beating Feniton 11-2, a win that saw them move up to second, a point behind leaders Hemyock with a game in hand.
Lympstone started brightest, a sweeping move was completed by Brodie Frazer with a cool finish in the first minute. Conrad McCandlish made it two when he smashed a loose ball from a corner into the back of the net.
Another corner a minute later taken by Taylor Chidgey went all the way through untouched to cross the line just inside the back post to make it three. Feniton's first real threatening attack saw them make it 3-1 before Chidgey restored the three-goal advantage before the break.
Lympstone turned on the style in the second period. Jack Johnson and Frazer notched before a Feniton reply. The dominant win was completed by further goals from Rafa Mascarenhas (2), Alfie Smith, Rory MacDonald and Chidgey.
