The juniors of Exmouth Town enjoyed a weekend of thrilling football with a narrow loss and a narrow victory, writes Emma Skinner.
The Exmouth U15 boys left it late to bag victory over a resolute Moors team, who grabbed the lead against the run of play. Town continued to dominate after the break and got their reward when a deep cross fell perfectly for Harry Blanchard to prod home with ten minutes remaining.
Exmouth then broke the Moors hearts with a dramatic late winner, Aiden Titley slotting a rebound after the initial shot from Isaac Wykes had been saved.
The Exmouth U15 girls were involved in an equally tense game against Cullompton. Rubi Young and Olivia Marles both went close for Town, who created more chances after the break but were beaten by a late Cully goal from close range. A brilliant effort from Exmouth, who continue to impress everyone.
