Exmouth Town Veterans FC have continued their pursuit of back-to-back promotions with home victories over both Adams FC veterans and Feniton Veterans.
An 11-0 win against a determined Adams side showed flashes of Exmouth at their incisive and clinical best. Leigh Clark was scintillating in midfield scoring a superb hattrick, with additional goals on the day spread around the squad. These included braces from Sam Schlaefli and Matt Williams, plus strikes from Mike Ferrari, Andy Waiton, Adam Bond and Carl Wilson.
The 2-0 victory at home to Feniton was a far more laboured affair, with the sides struggling to up the tempo following serious injuries and long breaks in play in both halves.
Exmouth dominated possession and were rewarded midway through the first half when Sam Schlaefli rounded the onrushing goalkeeper and coolly notched from a tight angle. A stunning 35-yard free-kick from Wilson confirmed the victory and next up is a trip to St Martins.
