Budleigh Salterton players managed to hit the net five times and still lost a crazy game 3-4 at home to Newtown in Devon Football League, writes Alan Beer.
The Robins started brightly and missed early chances before a free-kick from the right found Charlie Skinner for a nod-down, with Oscar Walsh in the right place to pounce and score.
Newtown equalised on 27 minutes through Cory Donohue and the bad luck for Budleigh began moments later, when a sliced clearance led to the first two decisive own goals.
Within two minutes of falling behind, Jack Hocking levelled for Budleigh and it stayed that way until just before the hour, when Walsh edged the Robins in front with a superb free-kick rifled into the top corner.
Budleigh were then hit by a cruel ricochet for their second own goal of a crazy game and Newtown then won it with a Donohue goal on the counter.
