Exmouth Town Football Club has joined forces with the Her Game Too campaign to help encourage women and girls to enjoy football in a safe and welcoming environment.
Her Game Too works on the clear message that football is a game for all and Exmouth Town now has two girls’ teams (U13s and U15s) competing in the Devon Girls’ League, and an U11 team training ready to join the league next season.
Christ Eynon from Exmouth Town said: “Our U13 girls were mascots at the Exeter City Ladies v Derby County Ladies in the National Plate semi-final and on March 10 we will be taking 120 people to St James park to cheer the ladies on again.
“We would also like to thank are current team sponsors AJ Taxis, JnR driveways, Emily Cuthell plumbing and heating and Sam Marles Plant Hire, local businesses getting behind their local football team, which is hugely appreciated.”
