The Women's Rugby team at Withycombe RFC recently held a taster training session for those keen to join the sport. With a turnout of over 20 enthusiastic ladies, the event was a resounding success. We are excited to welcome more members to our team in the near future.
Withycombe Ladies compete in the Women’s NC 3 South-West (West) Division against the likes of Truro, Cullompton, Exeter Saracens, Okehampton, Camborne, Teignmouth and Sidmouth.
The team has grown immeasurably in recent times and the enthusiasm for women’s rugby has been amazing. New players are given a warm welcome and support as they develop their skills in this fantastic sport. Rugby brings so many benefits, physical, mental and social, and Withycombe RFC is a great place to get started.
On the men’s side of the club, Withycombe suffered a heavy defeat against Plymouth side OPM, going down 40-0 in a game played in Ivybridge.
