Torquay United continue to battle the growing spectre of entering administration, as the club lurches toward a potential ten-point deduction in the National League South.
Owner Clarke Osborne decided to step away from the club on February 22 and signalled his intentions to place the club in administration, leaving just a short window for new owners to be found.
That window is closing but there is optimism of a holding group being put in place while a long-term option is found. Also, in echoes of the dark days at Exeter City, the Torquay United Supporters Trust is gathering members and donations in case the club is plunged into an even deeper crisis.
On the pitch, the Gulls stormed to a 4-1 victory over Dartford on Saturday and were big favourites for the visit of Taunton on Tuesday evening. If nothing else, any ten-point deduction should not mean a relegation fight.
