Exmouth Town U13 Girls travelled to Exeter to play Central Tigers.
Town struggled to get going as the rain poured down, but they managed to break the deadlock with a neat finish.
It came at the near post from a corner, as Evie Ellis grabbed her first goal of the morning.
But straight from kick off, the hosts equalised - but the scores did not remain level for long.
Town then scored a quick fire double, again Ms Ellis on target and the returning from injury Emmy Fleming finding the net.
On the stroke of half time, however, Central pulled one back to set up an exciting second half.
Town did not struggle to get going as Ms Ellis, almost from the restart, completed her hat-trick, taking her season tally to 20.
In the process, some robust defending from Olivia Chalk, which was backed up with brave and commanding goalkeeping from Ellie Cuthell, kept Central at bay.
Town added two late goals as Ellie Trussler burst down the right leaving three defenders for dust and calmly slotted the ball home, closely followed by Beth Titley who, from just inside the box, finished superbly as Exmouth ran out 6-2 winners.
