In the Devon Women's Football League Premier Division, leaders, Plympton Ladies were inactive due to Crediton United being unable to raise a full side - which allowed Budleigh Salterton to close the gap at the top.
They overcame challengers, Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police 3 -2, who had beaten Fremington Women 4 - 1 in mid-week under the lights.
Beth Evans was on target for Fremington, but Stoke won with goals from Abigail Gunning (2), Ella-Mae Evans-Pitts and Zara Studley.
Ella-Mae was on target again, against Budleigh, along with Rachel Fleming, but it was not enough.
Fremington and Bradworthy battled out a no score draw and Teignmouth won by the only goal of the game at home to Westexe Park Rangers.
In the South/West Division, goals from Cassie Lee, Steph Warren and Natasha Kiff gave Plainmoor Ladies a hard-fought 3-1 away win over Lakeside Athletic, who replied through Abigail Cleaver.
At the top of the table, Sb Oak Villa swept aside their nearest rivals, Horrabridge Rangers with a convincing 4 - 0 win, with goals from Kelsey Blight, Rachel Finch, Victoria Jasper and Rebecca Richards.
Shaldon Villa travelled to play Signal Box and they shared the points in a 0 - 0 draw.
In the North/East Division, neighbours Appledore entertained Braunton Wanderers and eased to a 2 - 1 to enhance their title claims - Kelly Darnley and Beth Ellis scoring their goals.
