The Exmouth Snooker League came to its customary close with the playing of the Open Snooker final prior to the presentation of trophies.
The final was a repeat of last year’s between the defending champion and three times winner, Iain Callander and Carl Rowsell.
This time it was Mr Rowsell who emerged champion for the fourth time, winning a close and evenly contested match by four frames to three.
In the trophy presentation that followed, Carl Rowsell received the Open shield, the player of the year, highest break award, pairs trophy with George Webster and was a member of the league champion team Police Social Club ‘A’.
Police S.C.’C’ received the runners-up cup.
Also presented were winners of the team knockout and Dave Edwards trophy, East Budleigh ‘A’.
Tom Solman Cup, Dave Thomas - Les Sansom Cup, Eric James - Handicap Snooker, Paul Keates and East Budleigh Cup, Craig Wilson.
