Exmouth Town's Southern League Division One South campaign is preparing for its kick-off at the newly named Complete Infrastructure Stadium.
Their encounter is against Thatcham Town who, last season, accomplished an eighth place in the Isthmian League before switching to the National Pyramid system.
The game is scheduled to take place this Saturday.
Thatcham's recent records include triumphing in the FA Vase in 2018 and emerging victorious from their opening FA Cup tie 3-1 against Christchurch last Saturday.
Exmouth Town's footprint in this year's FA Cup journey was also victorious, conquering a challenging Street team 1-0 and setting up another home tie versus Brixham, on August 17.
Brixham's path to this tie was through a 2-0 conquest over Saltash United.
The initial moments of the stage were ruled by Street as they showcased two league victories.
Exmouth Town slipped into momentum and broke the scoring stalemate in minute twenty-one.
Ben Griffith, who replaced a fellow player, broke forward and his cross found Tom Bath who turned it home at the near post.
In what shaped up to be a showdown, Bath had opportunities to broaden the lead with a hat trick, only to be denied twice by excellent saves and a narrowly missed header.
As the game advanced, Street was reduced to ten men after Bath was fouled to incarcerate an inevitable goal.
The scenario compounded for Street when another player was sent off reducing them to nine on the field.
One aspect of concern for Exmouth management was their failure to capitalise their dominance into further goals.
Town's decision to hold on for an extra touch before getting shots away allowed defenders time to intercept.
Additionally, they were blocked by the opponent's resilient goalkeeper.
The management hopes for a full recovery of both Morgan Williams and Nelson Iscguan from the injuries they sustained.
Despite the formidable attempts by Street, there was no breakthrough in Exmouth Town's fortitude.
Ollie Knowles was named as the Man of the Match by new ground sponsor Haydn Fifield.
Town stays on the league's schedule, playing against their rivals Bideford next Tuesday evening, August 13, with kickoff set for 7.45pm.
