Marathon wonder Chris Murrin completed his 137th and 138th marathons on two consecutive days, showing an incredible display of endurance.
On Saturday, August 3, Murrin tackled the 28-degree Phoenix Summer Marathon along the River Thames at Walton on Thames.
With just 24 hours rest Chris incredibly ran his 138th Marathon on Sunday coming 3rd in 4.20.31 in the Run Forest Run event in Sunbury on Thames.
This impressive feat comes just three weeks after he completed 120 miles at the Hope36 Trail Festival of Running in Plymouth.
Elsewhere, the Round the Rock 2024 on August 3 saw Jim Comer and Nick Ramm undertake an ultra run around the coast of the island of Jersey.
The pair started in St Hellier and followed a 48-mile route in an anti-clockwise direction.
Regrettably, Ramm was forced to withdraw after 21.75 miles due to an ankle injury, but Comer triumphed, finishing the 48 miles in 12 hours 2 minutes (beating the cut-off time by 10 minutes).
Simultaneously, the Sturminster Newton 1/2 Marathon and 5km, organised by the Dorset Doddlers, saw two Harriers take part.
Tom Packer completed the 1/2 Marathon, while Sarah Baldwin took part in the 5km multi-terrain run, a race aimed at raising money for a food bank.
On Sunday, August 4, the Totnes 10km, now run over a revised 11km route due to some erosion on the banks of the River Dart, saw three Exmouth Harriers emerge as prize winners.
Jimmy Joy was 56th in 49.36 and was 2nd M60, Hugh Marsden was 92nd in 53.49 and was 1st M65 (with a new course record), Alison White was 316th in 68.07 and was 2nd W65.
Alice Thomas, Dawn Teed and Des White also represented Harriers with excellent form.
A weekend filled with marathons, half marathons and 10km races bearing testament to the endurance and dedication of the runners.
