East Budleigh lost their unbeaten league record following a 3-1 defeat to Exeter Central.
Last Saturday, the visiting team faced a quick onslaught from Exeter Central, who scored twice in the first ten minutes.
East Budleigh's Mark Lever reignited their hopes with a goal after 25 minutes, courtesy of Guy Laverock's assist.
The visitors pushed forward, but their efforts were thwarted by Exeter Central's defence.
Five minutes into the second half, East Budleigh equalised with Jack Greenslade finding the net after a Brad Hill assist.
However, a defensive lapse seven minutes later saw Exeter Central reclaim the lead.
In an attempt to turn the tide, East Budleigh introduced Jack England and Jack Howarth, while moving Callum Liddle forward.
The change paid off when Liddle scored after receiving a pass from Lever.
Despite East Budleigh's relentless attacks, Exeter Central held on to secure the win.
East Budleigh FC are set to face Budleigh Salterton in a local derby this Saturday.
